Abbasi rules out snap polls possibility through assemblies' dissolution

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Deposed Premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi ruled out that snap-polls are not possible by dissolving 2 assemblies.


While addressing the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editor (CPNE) the former PM said that the 2018 elections were not fair, we are facing the consequences of those elections these days.


He further added “A year is still there for general elections, if the PM decides to dissolve assemblies, snap polls can take place in 90 days.”


Mr Abbasi also said “They are worried about the current situation of the country, stabilizing economy is their first priority, military leadership and other parties need to play their roles efficiently for the welfare of state.”


He added that he has a deep association with Karachi as he spent 8 years there.
